Most of what I've found (books/internet) seems to be targeted at 2 yrs and older. I've got a very active 1 year old who is practically running but is not anywhere near talking. She clear has a strong desire to be "big" but the language factor is limiting us (me?).<br /><br />We do sensory things, shakers and play doh, and she will "cook" with her spoons and pots, and has a rag for wiping. I feel like she's getting board with that, though, but yet she doesn't have the verbal skills to do things like pick out colors, count things, etc and I can't find activities that bridge the gap. <br /><br />Did you have this struggle?
