One year, my mom had an assistant whose mother died in a kayaking accident. Just by chance, they had spent the entire Sunday before she died together, despite living in different cities several hours apart. She was equally grateful for that time. Life is fleeting. It's hard to find the balance between living in the moment and remembering that our time is finite. So sorry about your dad! Sending hugs. xoLindseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04836394671525240199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556494314801577420.post-23993067208382289402016-06-09T22:35:42.100-07:002016-06-09T22:35:42.100-07:00Hi! Too young to leave this earth for sure, especially with little ones. The end of this month marks 5 years since my father's death. He did not live to meet his 3 grandbabies (2 from me and 1 from my sister). He would have been the best grandfather. You know, as much as I regret leaving Switzerland, I am glad we did because I got to spend one more year with him. We lived with him for 8 months after we got back, and then 4 months later he was gone. Crazy, huh?Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03053020814428192067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556494314801577420.post-78325574613532018962016-06-03T09:05:20.901-07:002016-06-03T09:05:20.901-07:00Thank you so much, K! I lost my dad when I was 19. I recently had my first baby so its stirred up a lot of feelings about everything he's missed but I'm grateful for the years I did have with him. ~KAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2556494314801577420.post-10503401359058924112016-06-01T10:42:30.339-07:002016-06-01T10:42:30.339-07:00What a beautiful tribute to your father. I just had my first child this year and I think of him often, wondering what he thinks of me as a mom. I know both of our fathers are proud of us <3 Thanks again for sharing the lovely photos.Amanda McNutthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11999348553189886521noreply@blogger.com
