The Best Diet Foods in Switzerland

Do you give a lot of consideration to what you eat? Or try to follow a particular diet? This photo of the ideal diet in Switzerland made us laugh out loud. Don't you love the cup of espresso and the itty-bitty water up in the corner? And what about the various grilled meats on a stick?! 

This is the time of year when many people are dieting and trying to lose weight as part of their New Year's resolutions, so food and diet is something that seems to come up in conversation pretty frequently these days. From what we've noticed, soup-and-tea-only crash diets are extremely popular, and giving up things like bread or potatoes is just crazy and impossible! This healthy diet photo is from a series entitled, "Theory and Practice" from Coop, one of the two major grocery stores in the country. This diet plan seems pretty straightforward and resembles much of what you'd see in the food pyramid, but it is much different, too. The Swiss ratio of bread, starches and carbs to vegetables seems pretty accurate to me. (They're pretty equal ;) But I'm surprised the cheese portion isn't way bigger! :)
