Have a beautiful weekend

How is your weekend going? This morning, we went to the park to meet some (hopefully;) new friends of ours. A woman I work with - but only over email and the phone - and I decided we should meet up. We're in similar boats in life. Her kids are 1, 3 and 5. She and her husband moved their family back to Spokane from Brooklyn a year ago. She misses her mommy group and lots of things about being in the city. Clearly we need to be friends! Then, as Coco, Theo and I arrived at the park, I realized I didn't even know what she looked like. But we managed to pick each other out instantly. I could really use a friend right now. I'm so thankful to have met her. And this definitely is a perk to being a working mom in America - people are so busy and work-focused, it really is the best place to make friends!

I meant to get links up last night, but J and I ended up watching this week's episode of the Americans and chatting on the couch after the kids went to bed and it was just really, really nice.

So, enjoy the rest of your weekend, and here are some links for you:

I cannot stomach the fact that we saw another horrific school shooting yesterday. And yet I was not the least bit surprised. This madness needs to stop. :( Also, unthinkable.

Exquisite. (Even more so with the sound on.)

Have you seen this season of The Americans? It is soooooo good. I have to cover my eyes and remind myself to breathe sometimes!

Topping my wish list.

One of my favorite bloggers is back, and she's so real and vulnerable. I was so sad when she threw in the towel. This is a very good day for the internet.

The power of compassion.

We're planning a big makeover for the kids room and I love these storage baskets. And these!

Feels like you're really there.

And finally, what do you hear? #yanny

I hope your weekend is absolutely beautiful and see you back here Monday!

  1. Weekend is not going good because we thought of a visit in Switzerland however due to this Covid-19 situation we had to change our mind and we cancelled our trip and will now re-organize it.
