Have a swell weekend!

Big news: I got a bike this week! Isn't it just adorable?! It's vintage, it's called a Torrot and it is from Spain. Other than that, I don't know much about it. I am so excited that it is green and lugged steel and has a slightly upright riding position. Most importantly of all, it can accommodate the Yepp Mini for Theo! I have been wanting a bike pretty much since I sold mine before we left Zurich. Of course, at that time I was pregnant, then caring for a newborn, and then we moved across the country! Now, a full year later, we are finally settled and feeling good. J and I had been checking on Craigslist and thinking about bike options for the last month or so. Let's face it, I am picky. I didn't want some ugly, utilitarian bike, but we also knew our budget was tiny! It's a pretty amazing story how everything fell into place and came together. But that's a story for another day. The bottom line is, Wednesday afternoon, all four of us went on a bike ride together and I can already tell that this is going to be the best summer ever. HURRAH!

Here's a bit of what caught my eye this week:

Don't these just look dreamy for midsummer nights?

I laughed so hard I started crying! (Seriously.)

Adventures in going viral.

Get out of here!

I love this concept.

Thoughtful words.

A perfect dress for Coco on hot Spokane summer days.

And this one would be perfect for me!

Beautifully fascinating ideas on parenting. (I really enjoyed this one.)

And, finally, help a girl out! I've been using this mascara, but it doesn't actually give that much volume. I don't need length, just plumping! What is your favorite drug store mascara? Or do you go top shelf on mascara? I used to, but not lately! ;)

I hope you have a magical weekend! We are going to be eating lots of Dutch Babies, swimming in the kiddie pool, strumming the ukulele and trying to beat the heat. It's so early in the season for those temps. Yikes. See you back here next week! As always, thank you for reading. xo

  1. I actually love Flower, Drew Barrymore's make-up, at Wal-Mart. I got the Outstretched lengthening mascara and it makes my lashes long and defined. (They tend to clump together with other mascaras.)
