Not that kind of crown...and weekend links!

Hello, lovelies! Have you ever had a dental crown? If you answered yes to that question, then you know the pain and misery I have been in since I had my first crown ten days ago. It was a harrowing ordeal in which my tooth wouldn't go fully numb and I wound up with three rounds of novocain shots that left me looking like a stroke victim with one eye that wouldn't blink and watered uncontrollably for, oh, just six hours or so. When I picked Coco up from school, she recoiled and asked, "What is wrong with you?!" Sigh. I am finally starting to experience more time throughout the 24-hour day not in pain rather than in pain, but it's been utter hell. I had no idea that dental work could be so life-altering. And it was definitely made worse by the fact that I have developed fully debilitating anxiety surrounding going to the dentist over the past couple of years. I was already super panicky and then the epinephrine in the novocain shots left me freezing and shaking uncontrollably for 15 minutes each time. Ugh. It's so bizarre! And awful. So, I'm finally back to blogging and that's what caused me to fall off the face of the earth for a while...

Do you have anything exciting going on this weekend? Today is a no-school day for Coco and Theo and a no-work day for me, so we're taking the bus downtown with their scooters and enjoying the beautiful fall sun and fall colors and it's so nice to have a full day with my sweeties. Life has been too busy since school started!

And here are some links for your weekend:
